There have been lots of talks concerning characters rumored to be in the new Dr Strange movie, this article gives us a hint on who those characters are.
The new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just dropped and a lot of fans are waiting patiently for the movie. When Marvel Studios released the first trailer, there were rumors and speculations concerning new characters, heroes and villains that would appear in the movie but those speculations weren’t as much as the ones going on now. As always, Marvel Studios decided to chip in little details foreshadowing new characters that no has ever seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Starting from what people believe to be Superior Iron Man to Deadpool, there have been discussions and arguments concerning comic book characters that may appear in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness.
Some of these speculations may end up being true but before we go to the Cinemas to see it, let’s talk about 5 of those rumored characters that may appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
1. Charles Xavier
Before the idea of the Marvel Multiverse, most fans thought that the movie “Logan” was the end of Sir Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier, who’s alter ego is what we know as Professor X. Patrick Stewart actually played the character of Charles Francis Xavier in seven movies: X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Wolverine, in X-Men: Days of Future Past and Logan.
He portrayed the character so well to the extent most fans wanted to see him again as Professor X and this second Doctor Strange movie might be just an answer to their prayers. Most of the theories based on the trailer have stated that he would be playing a variant of Charles Xavier from another Universe.
2. Loki
After the whole catastrophic events from the Loki series released back in 2021, Marvel fans started asking lots of questions concerning what would be the follow-up story of Sylvie (a female Loki variant). As we all saw in the wonderful series, Jonathan Majors’ character (He Who Remains) explained everything that is to happen if Sylvie took his life.
Kang the conqueror being a variant of He Who Remains may not appear in this upcoming Dr Strange movie but Loki himself might be in the post credit scene of the movie, giving the watchers a peek of what may happen in the Loki 2 series.
Since the death of He Who Remains caused a lot of twist and turns that watchers couldn’t really explain, a brief appearance of Loki in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness may be helpful.
3. Deadpool
We have mentioned earlier that Charles Xavier would be in the new Doctor Strange movie and since, we all know that Deadpool is in the same universe as the X-Men, he may also show up. Also, it is worthy to note that in 2021, a short film of Deadpool and Korg (from Thor: Ragnarok) showed both of them sitting together while reacting to the trailer of the movie “Free Guy“. They also discussed about the possibility of Deadpool being in the MCU, so we are pretty sure this is a confirmation to the question fans have been asking.
There’s also a weird speculation concerning the movie poster of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as many people have stated that a piece of the shattered glass from the poster has Deadpool on it.
The animated “What If…?” series gave us an idea of what the broken/shattered glasses mean. Showing that each piece of glass could be a branch of reality leading to what we can refer to as the Multiverse.

4. White Vision
If we’re not mistaken, Vision should be the most expected out of the other characters rumored to be in the new Dr Strange movie. The 2021 WandaVison miniseries showed us the unfortunate life of Wanda Maximoff after the events that took place in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. While on his quest to bring what he thought would be ‘balance’ to the universe, Thanos had to gather the six infinity stones. Vision who at that time, had the mind stone on his forehead had to loose both the stone and since that’s the powerhouse of his whole vibranium body, he could not live without it.
Loosing Vision wasn’t a happy ending for Wanda and this caused her to mentally breakdown, create an alternate reality where Vision is alive and also trapping the residents of Westview. While Wanda was enjoying her ‘unreal’ life, S.W.O.R.D remade Vision but this time, he’s white and is programed to end Wanda and her recreated Vision.
We later see Wanda’s Vision transferring his consciousness to the White Vision after having a sensible conversation and this is actually one of the main reasons why fans do think we would be seeing him again in this new Dr Strange Movie.
5. Superior Iron Man
If there’s any character topping the list of the most rumored characters for Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, then it’s the Superior Iron Man from Earth-TRN517 who is rumored to be played by Tom Cruise. The new trailer for the movie actually shows a character that looks like either Superior Iron Man, Nova or even a variant of Captain Marvel who people think is Monica Rambeau.
Remember that since the Multiverse is already a thing in the MCU, anyone can be anything and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Monica Rambeau or even her mother as Captain Marvel from another Universe.
The glowing figure in the Dr Strange 2 trailer might turn out to be any of the characters mentioned above and some fans have studied it well and already finalized that it is Superior Iron Man.
If by any chance, it’s not Superior Iron Man or any of the ‘Rambeaus’, then Nova would be a good pick because many Marvel fans have been wanting to see a live action depiction of this comic book character.
These 5 listed above are some out of the characters rumored to be in the new Dr Strange Movie. They’re also the ones out of many others that we think would make an appearance in the new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie.
